I never had to do this in school thankfully – but I’ve done it with a real baby. And I still laugh when she burps.

Great laugh. Why are baby burps so cool to a guy? You will appreciate the following story.
When working at a military congregation, I participated in a number of retirements. One in particular was an Air Force Lt Col. Andrew (my son) was 4 months old. Amy (my wife) had tried to hold off feeding him so that he would feed quietly and sleep during the ceremony. Because of technical difficulties the ceremony was delayed and Andrew was getting very hungry.
The ceremony finally began and Amy fed Andrew his bottle (they were about ten rows behind me as I sat on the front row waiting to lead the benediction). Andrew took the bottle way to fast and during a dramatic pause as the Captain read a letter from the Commander-in-Chief, Andrew let out a belch that any grown man would be proud of. It literally shook the room, caused the Captain, the Lt Col, and the presiding General to lose their composure and place in the ceremony.
Embarrassing — yes! But looking back even funnier 12 years later!
