The Captain Is In!

Varitek Back With The BoSox

For those of you who don’t know, my wife and I are diehard Red Sox fans, so I am of course extremely pleased to see that Jason Varitek (the main catcher and team captain) will be back for 2009 and (hopefully) 2010.  I cannot wait for baseball to begin … it’s the best time of the year.

Awesome Oy Drawing

I recently participated in an event over at Oy Comics.  The goal was to get people a physical copy of a certain comic, which I did, and the prize for the first two people to do it was a personal drawing by Danny, the creator.  Today he sent the drawing over, so I wanted to share it with everyone.  He sent something else over (something secret – I don’t know what it is yet!) and I thought about waiting until that arrived to post this, but this was just too awesome.  It’s Oy in a Red Sox Jersey!  Go Sox!!

Make sure to check out Danny’s comic, Oy.  It is an awesome comic!  I read it every day – that’s how awesome it is!

News, Etc.

Thought I’d share a couple of things with my readers!

First, we hit somewhat of a milestone in February – “Seth and Buddy” got the highest number of unique visitors ever! We’re still short of 1,000 though, but that’s a milestone I’m really looking forward to.  So I set forth a bit of a challenge to you, my readers.  Tell your friends about the comic!  Link to it on Facebook, tell them about it personally, print the comic and post it on your cubicle – just get it out there guys!

Secondly, I thought I’d share with you the environment in which today’s comic was drawn:

It doesn’t get much better than that, guys.

Hope you have a great Monday!

News For Your Noting

Two things:

1: The original art for the most recent Seth and Buddy wallpaper is still available for bidding on eBay.  The bidding ends in 3 days, and there’s already a bid up, so go over and add your own.  Here’s the link to the bidding page.

2: The Red Sox Swept the Yankees.  To any Yankees fans – I feel no pity.  And this was the icing on the cake.

My wife and I are going to a Sox/Yanks game in June, and after this amazing series, I am wicked pumped! Go Sox!!
